Experience & Education

Dec 2025 – Present

Software Engineer

Spacehead Labs, LLC

Contracted by Aloboi (2.3M monthly Spotify listeners) to develop AloBend Synth, a Just Intonation wavetable synthesizer VST plugin using C++ and the JUCE framework.

  • Defined the product MVP, mapped a go-to-market roadmap, and coordinated a public commercial release on Gumroad targeting macOS and Windows.
  • Led sprint planning, requirements gathering with the artist client, and task delegation with a junior developer across the full project lifecycle.
  • Configured CMake build system and GitLab CI pipeline with code signing and notarization for distribution-ready macOS/Windows releases.
  • Designed and engineered custom JUCE GUI with real-time visualizations
  • Developed DSP features including anti-aliasing interpolation, oversampling for audio quality, and real-time parameter automation.
Aug 2022 – June 2025

Software Engineer

The Drone Racing League

Built end-to-end features for autonomous drone racing systems spanning firmware communication, backend microservices, and React frontends, deployed at live international events.

  • Extended the RaceStack API with an MQTT pub/sub layer, enabling external broadcast partners to stream race data supporting live coverage that reached 320M+ households.
  • Developed native C++ NAPI addon to bridge firmware communication (C) with Node.js backend and React frontend, enabling type-safe data flow across the entire stack.
  • Coordinated with firmware engineers to roll out communication protocol updates across a fleet of 600+ drones, designing and executing an extensive validation and staged deployment plan to ensure zero race-day failures.
  • Reduced venue deployment times by 20% through Docker containerization and CI/CD optimization. (GitHub Actions, GCP)
  • Built cloud data warehouse in partnership with Google Cloud, aggregating telemetry from the DRL simulator and live racing systems into BigQuery and MongoDB for analytics and post-event review.
  • Integrated high-speed line scan camera with the Timing & Scoring application via TCP sockets and WebSockets, achieving millisecond-precision crossing detection for racing drones exceeding 90mph.
  • Rebuilt drone Fleet Management UI in React with telemetry streaming, command controls, and safety interlocks for live race operations.
  • Administered Linux systems across cloud and on-premises infrastructure, maintaining event-critical production environments for live international race events attended by 10,000+ fans.
Aug 2021 – Aug 2022

IT Systems Engineer

The Drone Racing League

Sole IT owner for a fast-growing sports-tech startup; managed all infrastructure, security, procurement, while beginning to contribute to software engineering.

  • Independently managed budget planning, project management, and execution for all IT infrastructure projects across the company
  • Optimized SaaS, cloud, and on-premise IT resources, eliminating redundancies and reducing annual costs by $24,000 without impacting productivity or causing downtime
  • Achieved zero-touch device deployment and streamlined onboarding for previously unmanaged company assets by implementing MDM, Single Sign-On (SSO), and automated SCIM provisioning — SSO, SCIM, MDM
  • Established company-wide cybersecurity policies in collaboration with legal counsel; delivered security training materials and enforced two-factor authentication (2FA) across all systems
  • Developed and documented disaster recovery and business continuity plans for all critical systems
  • Cataloged and documented 200+ IT assets; established monitoring and alerting systems for enhanced infrastructure visibility
  • Refactored office networking topology, improved security posture, and eliminated single points of failure
  • Assisted in large-scale onsite event deployments at sports stadiums, managing asset deployment for full-venue race operations
  • Managed cloud and on-premise network security and access controls — RouterOS, GCP
